Veda is a senior in the School of Engineering majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Business. She’s a fan of nature, Starbucks (her favorite spot to study!), hanging out with friends, and watching Netflix (favorite show: Gilmore Girls). She joined WLI so that she could work with like-minded people in order to advocate for female empowerment. She hopes that the events put together by WLI this year will empower and uplift women. Joining WLI was one of her best decisions on campus and she can't wait to continue working with such talented and powerful women on campus and all across the globe.

Isabella DiPalermo

Bella is a senior studying Industrial and Labor Relations with minors in Africana Studies, Inequality Studies, and Law and Society. On campus, Bella is a facilitator for Cornell’s Intergroup Dialogue Project, a Prison Reform and Education Project member, and a runner for Cornell’s Cross Country and Track team. She is extremely passionate about advocating for overall inequalities and injustices, partaking in many protests and marches throughout her life such as the Women’s March and March for Our Lives. Bella strongly believes in the message of WLI and has enjoyed the many opportunities it has given her. She previously served as Gala Chair conducting the first annual WLI Gala. She is excited to continue to be part of the fantastic community WLI offers and to further the mission of empowering young females. During her free time, she enjoys reading, running, music, and traveling, and she loves spending time with her four rescue dogs at home!

Kate is a sophomore majoring in Government. On campus, Kate is also a part of the cheer team and on e-board for other clubs, so she likes to stay busy! In her free time, Kate enjoys trying new restaurants and hanging out with her friends! As membership director, Kate hopes to invite new students into our network of hardworking and supportive women. She also hopes to help the members flourish and feel empowered to succeed.

Rhea Serron

Rhea is a senior studying Industrial and Labor Relations with a minor in Business. On campus, Rhea is a member of the Society for Women in Business. She has also been the Service Council Leader of Cook Collective and planned community service activities to increase student involvement with local non-profits and charities. Professionally, Rhea has experience with marketing for non-profits, medical devices, and consumer packaged goods. Rhea is passionate about advocating for intersectional feminism and equality. Through WLI, Rhea hopes to promote a welcoming environment where all womxn on campus feel empowered to share their experiences and support each other. In her free time, Rhea loves baking, reading, and spending time with her family and rescue dog.

Carley is a sophomore majoring in Industrial Labor Relations, minoring in Business and Feminine Gender Studies. On campus, Carley is a Big Red Ambassador and a peer mentor for first-year students in ILR. In her free time, she enjoys trying new recipes and spending time with friends and family. As Business director, Carley hopes to budget funding to support our members to reach their future endeavors. Last, Carley hopes to create an inclusive an empowering environment for our members to flourish and thrive through the years at Cornell and beyond.

Victoria Rivera

Victoria is a senior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business. When not in class, she is a lab manager for the PAC lab and is active in Psi Chi. She spent her past summer as an HR Intern at Barclays. In her free time, Victoria enjoys baking, watching movies, and cooking for friends. She joined WLI her sophomore because she believes that all women should be uplifted and supported in their endeavors. As events director, she is excited to plan and be a part of so many inspirational events!

Freya is a junior in the College of Arts & Sciences double majoring in The College Scholar Program and Psychology, and minoring in Music and English. On campus, she is also involved in the Cornell Symphony Orchestra, The Swift Club, and the Cornell Daily Sun. In her free time, Freya enjoys reading, watching Netflix, seeing the sunset, and listening to Taylor Swift! She joined WLI because of its uplifting atmosphere and is excited to grow alongside other passionate and driven women. She hopes to help form a strong and supportive community that promotes female empowerment.

Ally is a junior studying Industrial and Labor Relations with minors in Business and Law and Society. On campus, she is involved with the CUACLU, Cornell Current, Cornell Strategic Consulting and is a peer mentor. She loves WLI because of its mission to empower women in a supportive and accepting community. In the future, she hopes to further women’s development through law, business, or nonprofit work. In her free time, she can be found going on walks around campus, watching Survivor, or catching up with her friends. Ally looks forward to all the amazing events WLI has planned this year!

Prakriti is a junior in the College of Engineering majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Business. On campus, she is a Project Manager at Cornell Strategic Consulting where she works with startups to provide them with business consulting services. She is also a member of Cornell Engineers for Sustainable World. She has previously interned as a Software Engineer in the Biotechnology as well as the Food Services industry. Outside of work, she enjoys music, hiking, and capturing every sunset! She is passionate about advocating for Intersectional Feminism. Prakriti joined WLI as a Gala Director to provide women opportunities to build a strong, supportive community and celebrate every accomplishment along the way!

Sheza Suleman

Sheza is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Biology and Society with a concentration in Neuroscience. She enjoys watching horror movies, stargazing, and going on adventures with friends. After Cornell, she plans on going to medical school and becoming a neurologist. She joined WLI with the aim of connecting with a network of influential women and fostering a positive atmosphere for professional growth and career advancement. Additionally, she sought to engage in discussions about the lived experiences as a woman at a competitive institution. She hopes that WLI can provide other women on campus with the mentorship and leadership building skills to thrive in their respective fields.
